What is Innate, Within.

April 26, 2020 by Sara Lashbrook

The vibrant pink among the dark browns caught me eye.  I had not seen something like that before, or if I had, I was not able to recall it in the moment. This pink, the bright color among the earth had me intrigued.

A few days later, while riding my bike, I noticed more pink out of the corner of my eye. Curious, I hopped off my bike and bent down to take a look.

There, among the brown leaves, ground, caps and acorns I learned that the pink I had seen earlier in the week, was actually the inside of an acorn!  The inside of an acorn!  Here, scattered among the ground were the roots, emerging from the seed.

What a moment to witness. Such an honor.

The acorn is doing what it knows to do, what is innate, what is its nature.

Ah, entelechy.
